Dear friends and loved ones,
As usual it´s been a while since last update. Many of you probably don´t know that Sanna and I have moved back to Norway. We had thought that we would stay in Moravian Falls, NC, till December this year. That´s what we believed when we moved to the US, but God wanted it otherwise. In the end of June we were asked to be part of a church plant in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. The church will be a Catch the Fire church and is under Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship (TACF). It´s starting September 20th and Sanna and I will be the youth leaders there.
It took some time before we reached the decision to go for it. We prayed a lot about it and sought counsel from friends. From Proverbs 11:14 we learned that “where there is no guidance the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory.” This is true and we´ve experienced it. All the wisdom, guidance, input and prayers we got from our friends on the mountain is priceless! They advised us on how to go forth, how to conduct ourselves, the right protocol etc. And they all asked the Lord for direction for us. One thing that was very special for us was when David and Adam (two superb friends) came from High Point and Winston Salem to get together with us and pray with us. That was precious. We thank God for such true friends. When we left them and flew home to Norway we knew that we were on the right way and that God really had called us home again. But it wasn´t only easy to go home…

Happy New Year

2008 has been a great year for both of us. Sanna completed her first year of Social Studies and Krister worked in a communication task group in the Army, the last 5 months as platoon leader, and he enjoyed it a lot. After the summer vacation Sanna put her studies on hold, and from January 2009 Krister has taken a year off from work. Why? Read on!

Happy Days Together

Even though we´re getting ready to move and have much to do we have managed to squeeze in some quality time. On Saturday we went to Maihaugen in Lillehammer. It´s a place where they have moved old houses together as to form a small village/town to preserve it for the future. It´s really beautiful and we just wanted to show you some photos from our date.

Today we started a new group on Facebook named “Kristen i Lillehammer” or “Christian in Lillehammer” in English. It´s only operating in Norwegian as this is a local group for people in our town. We want it to be a place where people can get in touch with other christians. As simple as that And we already have 11 members and some of them I don´t know yet. This is good.
Let´s make this a year of jubilee!

Summer Vacation

Hello faithful readers,
Me and Sanna are really looking forward to go on summer vacation together in July! This has been a busy autumn and summer so far and we haven’t been much with each other at times. We got to go to Florida in April and that was great. We want to go back to the US of A and spend more time hanging out with each other. Our vacation lasts for 4 weeks. Yeah, God! I have a beautiful and wonderful wife and I love her so much! This summer is going to be the best summer ever!! YEAH!

Nå har jeg endelig fått meg en ekstern harddisk på 500 GB hvor jeg kan legge alle filer jeg vil ta vare. Det er herlig å ha så god plass. Hva er det med den disken som gir meg glede egentlig?? Hvorfor jager vi mennesker så ofte etter større plass til å lagre informasjon, bilder, spill, filmer..? Why, why?!
Vet ikke om jeg kommer til å finne svaret på det, men jeg vet hva jeg snart skal gjøre. Etter at jeg har kopiert over ALT jeg vil beholde skal jeg formatere desktop’en vår og installere alt fra bunn av med et mye bedre system. Gleder meg til det jeg

Påsketur

Min kone og jeg er på påsketur. Akkurat nå er vi på Dyrøya hos foreldrene til Sanna og har spist oss mette på deilig hjemmelaget pizza med hjemmelaget elgkjøttdeig. Her blir vi til søndag og feirer bursdagen til svigermor før vi flyr sør til Bergen igjen.
Så langt har ferien vært fantastisk bra! På fredag kjørte Elida, Steinar, Sanna, Hera og jeg til Hamar sammen. Det var en veldig bra tur selv om jentene satt noe trangt i baksetet. Tiden gikk fort og med mange lange stopp var klokken midt på natta før vi kom frem til familien til Steinar. Der ble vi da til søndag og drog så videre til Bøverdalen 20 minutter fra Lom. Herlig utsikt og skikkelig koselig hus! Huset tilhører Steinar sin familie og det var veldig fint der, med mange soverom, vedovner og mye panel på veggene. Dagene gikk med mye Bibelstudie, bønn, grilling og kos. En suveren ferie!
