Dear friends and loved ones,
As usual it´s been a while since last update. Many of you probably don´t know that Sanna and I have moved back to Norway. We had thought that we would stay in Moravian Falls, NC, till December this year. That´s what we believed when we moved to the US, but God wanted it otherwise. In the end of June we were asked to be part of a church plant in Oslo, the capital city of Norway. The church will be a Catch the Fire church and is under Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship (TACF). It´s starting September 20th and Sanna and I will be the youth leaders there.
It took some time before we reached the decision to go for it. We prayed a lot about it and sought counsel from friends. From Proverbs 11:14 we learned that “where there is no guidance the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory.” This is true and we´ve experienced it. All the wisdom, guidance, input and prayers we got from our friends on the mountain is priceless! They advised us on how to go forth, how to conduct ourselves, the right protocol etc. And they all asked the Lord for direction for us. One thing that was very special for us was when David and Adam (two superb friends) came from High Point and Winston Salem to get together with us and pray with us. That was precious. We thank God for such true friends. When we left them and flew home to Norway we knew that we were on the right way and that God really had called us home again. But it wasn´t only easy to go home…

During this weekend gathering, our plan is to impart to you:

This event is limited to 40 people.
The cost of this event is $390 per person, based on double occupancy. This is a package price, which includes registration, accommodations and meals in Moravian Falls, NC.
The setting for this event is absolutely gorgeous. The beautifully appointed and fully modern lodge is nestled in the midst of an apple orchard and is surrounded by the rolling hills and mountains of North Carolina. The views are spectacular. In addition, this location is known for the open heaven that exists there. Divine and angelic encounters are common place in this area.

The event kicks off with dinner on Friday, August 28th at 5:30 PM followed by the first meeting at 6:30 PM and concludes at noon on Sunday, August 30th, 2009.

Mission Trip – Santa Marta, Colombia

This trip is scheduled for 8 days and involves exciting and powerful ministry opportunities in Santa Marta, Colombia, including ministry in two outdoor evangelistic meetings.
The team will fly to Santa Marta on Monday, August 03, 2009 and return to the United States on Monday, August 10, 2009. Ministry begins on Tuesday, August 04 in Santa Marta with Gary, Kathi, and the team.
Santa Marta is a city located in northern Colombia by the Caribbean sea and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains. The city is an important maritime port and hub for tourism, history and culture.
During our time there, we will be ministering in the largest Four Square church in town (5,000 members) and in several other churches twice each day involving a cooperative effort among the local churches. We are also making plans for at least two citywide crusades during our stay in Santa Marta.
The meetings in South America have always been very powerful. They are characterized by many salvations, dramatic healings & deliverance and lots of angelic activity. Also, we are attempting to schedule ministry opportunities in a prison and/or an orphanage.
This trip will be fully interactive for every member of the ministry team. Each member of the team will be used by God in leading people to salvation and/or ministering miracles of love, healing, deliverance and restoration. With the exception of travel days and some time for shopping and sightseeing, we will be ministering twice each day in the morning and evening meetings.
The cost of the trip is divided into two components; the first being the cost of your roundtrip airfare to Santa Marta, Colombia. This cost is paid directly by you to the mission department at Carlson Wagonlit Travel at 1800.622.3342 or to the travel agency or airline website of your choice. All team members must be on the same flight to and from Santa Marta; there are no exceptions to this policy. The second component is an in-country cost, which includes double occupancy accommodation in a resort on the ocean, 3 meals per day, ground transportation, medical insurance, sightseeing excursions, and administrative overhead. This amount is $1,089.00 and is paid directly to Gary Oates Ministries. A deposit of $400 is due when you apply to join the ministry team, and the remainder is due by July 03, 2009.
